This Release is a reissue of the original stereo The Shape Of Jazz To Come on Atlantic. This reissue uses original artwork (on cover and center label) and no reissue information is mentioned on the cover or vinyl. It can be distinguished from other releases by etchings in the deadwax area.

The catalog number without the SD in front appears on the front cover and spine, the one with SD on the back cover and LP. Another Catalog number appears only on the LP (though significantly smaller than the SD 1317): (ST-A-59176 PR) on both sides.
