Reger played Reger 1905 on the Welte-Mignon grand piano in Freiburg i. Br., Germany. The transfer of his playing from the paper rolls, that held it for the Welte attachment, to the piano, tape and record was done in February 1973 by DA CAMERA Mannheim at music machine museum Weiß-Stauffacher, Basel.
