Dieser Vortrag wurde anläßlich rer Eröffnung der "Kasseler Musiktage 1964" gehalten. Seine Veröffentlichung auf Schallplatte erfolgt nach einer Aufnahme des Hessischen Rundfunks aus demselben Jahre.
Folgende Aufnahmen wurden Industrie-Schallplatten entnommen: Bartók: Allegro barbaro (Deutsche Grammophon 18 273 LPM), Debussy: Nuages (Decca SXL 2062).
