Nicht immer, nur manchmal hat der KNUDDEL das Gefühl: Ich bin der allerärmste Hund der ganzen Welt. Dann läßt er seine langen Ohren noch länger hängen, als sie sowieso schon sind. Mit seinem allertraurigsten Hundeblick sagt er mehr als manche Menschen mit vielen Worten: "Niemand versteht mich! Ich will doch nur ein guter Hund sein!"
Kein Hund kann sprechen. Der KNUDDEL auch nicht. Bellen kann er und knurren, freundlich mit dem Schwanz wedeln. Mit der linken Hinterpfote kann er sich hinterm rechten Ohr kratzen, wenn es ihn juckt, wenn er Kummer hat, wenn er etwas nicht versteht oder wenn er nachdenken will. KNUDDEL kann denken. Am liebsten denkt er an Leberwurst. Kinder mag er sehr, weil die manchmal auch so traurig sind wie er. Weil sie ausgeschimpft werden, obwohl sie überhaupt nichts Böses getan haben oder tun wollten. Menschen, die "verdammter Köter" zu ihm sagen, kann er nicht riechen. Instinktiv fühlt er, daß das keine guten Menschen sind. Gute Menschen sagen nämlich: "KNUDDEL, du bist ein guter Hund." Und genau das will er sein. Aber auch ein kleiner Hund hat es schwer, immer ein guter Hund zu sein. Vor allem kurz vor Weihnachten. Da versteht der KNUDDEL die Welt samt Frauchen und Herrchen überhaupt nicht mehr... "Geh in dein Körbchen! Laß mich in Ruhe! Habe keine Zeit!", heißt es da nur. Und wem sollte er dann sein Leid klagen?
Hier ist also nun KNUDDELS zweite Langspielplatte bzw. MusiCassette - von vielen lange erwartet. KNUDDEL wedelt stolz mit dem Schwanz, wenn man von ihm spricht. "Aber ehrlich", meint er, "mir ist eine feine Leberwurst lieber!" Trotzdem wünscht er viel Spaß beim Zuhören! Und ihm schließen sich an: Die Autorin, der Sprecher, die Musiker und die anderen Menschen, welche diese Schallplatte mit viel Liebe gemacht haben.
